Adding Google Analytics at the end of your body tag decreases page speed by 1 seconds !

Google Analytics is a great tool for analysing your visitors but did you know how much time it takes to load ?



I wanted to test out how much was the effect of placing Google Analytics script in the bottom of the page and the result really surprised me !

With Analytics in between the page .

First View :7.18 sec
Repeat View:4.377 sec
The result is available here :- http://www.webpagetest.org/result/110612_1C_TBJP/

Now with Analytics at the bottom of the page , just before closing the <body> tag.

First View:6.774s
Repeat View:4.491s
The result is available here :- http://www.webpagetest.org/result/110612_Y0_TBJX/

The page load time does decrease but the repeat view time increases though !
