Enabling remote desktop connection in Windows 8 and 8.1

Remote desktop is disabled by default from Windows 7 onwards so you have to enable it in order to use it, enabling it however is quite simple.

To enable it, go to Control Panel -> System. There click remote settings.

Now, in the dialog box that opens up,

There, click enable remote connections from this computer. To connect to the computer, Start -> Search for remote desktop connection.
